About Me
I am a lighting designer who loves a good story! I love to create spaces where the environment and the lighting design work together in harmony, crafting each detail to bring that story to life. I bring that intentionality to each step of my designs from concept to installation.
It was actually a love of rock climbing that sparked my initial interest in lighting design. While studying theatre, I would volunteer for any work that involved climbing around up high in a grid. From up there, I became fascinated by the way lighting could quietly create infinite worlds with small adjustments to color, direction, and intensity.
I pursued this passion to Gonzaga University, then University of California, Irvine and even to Gnomon School of Visual Effects to study lighting in its digital form. My career has taken me around the world, exploring the medium from all sides as a lighting designer for live events, conventions, immersive installations, opera, dance, theatre, and even the happiest place on earth!
As a Show Lighting Designer with Walt Disney Imagineering, I collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to develop story-driven designs throughout the Disneyland Resort. At WDI, I learned to love the minutest details of a design and how the smallest elements could combine to create the richest, most immersive environments.
I proudly joined the team of Banks Landl Lighting Design in March of 2025 and am loving the opportunity to tell even more types of stories with light.
I currently reside in Los Angeles, California where I still love rock climbing but have long since given up any professional ambitions.
